Workshops and Day Retreats
While international retreats can be life-changing and transformative, we can't always get away for long periods of time. However, this doesn't mean that we can't take time for ourselves! At Volare Retreats, we believe in the power of regular self-care and encourage you to nurture yourself whenever possible.
Yoga workshops and day retreats give us an easy opportunity unplug and unwind. Our hope is that you can take one day and feel like you've been gone for the weekend!
Finding Balance: A Yoga and Self Care Day Retreat with Lauren Maher

Monrovia Canyon Park
Every once in a while, we need to take a step back, slow down, and give ourselves the opportunity to and recharge. Our day retreat provides a space for rest and rejuvenation in beautiful Monrovia Canyon Park. Set in a cozy cabin surrounded by nature, you’ll feel like you are miles away from Los Angeles, with plenty of tall trees, streams, wildlife, and a nearby waterfall to explore.
We will start our day with a morning practice that includes yoga, breath work, mantra, and meditation, which will be followed by a leisurely lunch. In the afternoon, we will study the yogic concept of the "Five Prana Vayus." This concept gives us a way to understand how energy moves through the body and mind. Through lecture, meditation, and various exercises, we will explore each of these five vayus, which can provide a great road map for self exploration and self awareness. After our talk, we will close the day with a relaxing Yoga Nidra (guided meditation) session.
Cost: $100 before 6/1/18; $125 after 6/2/18

Moving Through Blocks: Using Yoga, Writing, & Psychology to Unlock Your Potential

This workshop is designed for anyone who wants to expand their notion of creativity and unlock their full potential in work and life. During our time together, we will explore what blocks us from any new endeavor or desire to create.
Our workshop includes communal support and spiritual development through the practices of writing, yoga, and psychological exploration. As we guide students through these practices, they will ponder what blocks them from a more expansive way of living, and through self-discovery, begin to grow. The classic beauty of La Maida provides the perfect atmosphere for this immersive experience.
Please bring a light lunch and snacks for the day.
